Please join us for a very special Party on the Patio on Thursday, July 10, with music performances by Sally Schaefer and Tyler Bagwell under a tent!

Brewers' Union No. 4
It's the first Monday of the month, and that means Brewers' Union No. 4 is on tonight (Monday), July 7, 6 to 10 pm.
Ethan Cox is in Belgium and the Netherlands, gathering interesting beers for the next Brewers' Union No. 4 on August 4, but Chris Hawley will be on hand with interesting beers to sample and his *complementary* Wardynski beer brats!

Beats, Brews, & Prose: Open Mic Poetry Night
The inaugural Beats, Brews, & Prose: Open Mic Poetry Night is this Sunday, July 6, 6 to 10 pm, and will be continued on the third Sunday of every month through at least the end of the year. Bring a poem, read a poem, have a beer, read another poem!
Shelter Dog Happy Hour
Come out and hang with adoptable dogs from the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter on Juneteenth, June 19, 6 to 8 pm, at Eugene V. Debs Hall! Chef Steve will be on paw (on hand), serving roast chicken, a few sides and home made dessert + coffee for $15, with all proceeds going to the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter! Also available will be pet-safe chicken and rice, plus pet-safe desserts.

Chef Steve’s Pulled Pork Night is Monday, June 9.
Chef Steve is serving slow-cooked pulled pork on a roll with his homemade coleslaw, a side of potato chips, and coffee and dessert for only $15. Doors open at 5 pm, with Steve’s feast out by 6 pm!

Brewers' Union No. 4
It's the first Monday of the month, and that means Ethan Cox will be hosting his Brewers' Union No. 4 on Monday, June 2, 6 to 10 pm.
Ethan will be unveiling a special beer by Strangebird in Rochester, as well as his complementary carrot ginger soup. He'll also be bringing bottled selections to share by Brewery Ardennes and Plan B in Poughkeepsie.
Stop by! Feel free to bring an interesting beer to share, and Alibaba Kebab takeout to make it a night on the town.

Fight Fascism Friday
Join us for our next Fight Fascism Friday this Friday, May 30, 6 to 10 pm, with an important presentation and discussion led by a local representative of the national group, Standing for Democracy. You can learn more about Standing for Democracy here: https://www.standing4democracy.org/. The talk will begin at 6:30 PM promptly and discussion will last until 7:30 PM. Doors at Debs open at 6 pm.

Memorial Day with DOGS!
Come out and hang with adoptable dogs from the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter on Memorial Day, May 26, 5 to 7 pm, at Eugene V. Debs Hall!
We'll have complementary hot dogs on the grill, and plenty of beer to fill your glass!

May Day at Debs!
Join us for May Day, the true International Workers Day, this Thursday, May 1, 6 pm. We’ll have Pawlowski’s Pierogi food truck, live music with Tyler Bagwell & Sally Schaefer (6 to 7 pm), and a special May Day performance by Subversive Theatre (7 pm). Chris Hawley will give an update on our progress and future prospects as an organization at 7:30 pm. Stop out for some beer, music, and pierogi!

Fight Facism Friday
Please join us for the monthly Fight Fascism Friday at Eugene V. Debs Hall this Friday, April 25, 6 pm.
Brandon Absher will be bartending starting at 6 pm, and Adrienne C. Hill of the Buffalo Niagara LGBTQ History Project will deliver a talk on “Trans Buffalonians Through History & How They Fought Back.” The talk will begin at 7 pm, with discussion to follow.

Dyngus Day at Debs!
Join us for Dyngus Day at Debs! We'll be serving Buffalo Brewing Company's smigus dyngus pilsner and Briarbrothers' krupnik seltzer all day long, starting at 10 am. Chef Steve will be cooking up Polish kielbasa stew served over cheesy smashed potatoes with a side of rye bread and Polish coleslaw for only $15, starting at 4 pm. As always, we charge no cover!

Pre-Dyngus Day Clean Up
We’re partnering with Preservation Buffalo Niagara (PBN) on a Pre-Dyngus Day Cleanup this Saturday, April 19, 11 am to 1 pm. We meet at Eugene V. Debs Hall for coffee and donuts, then head out to spruce up the neighborhood ahead of Dyngus Day.
We'll be focusing on Memorial Drive, which really needs it, with a crew from PBN heading to the threatened Schlitz Brewery Tied House at 840 William Street. We've got garbage bags, gloves, and coffee and donuts!

Good Friday
We'll have a jam packed Good Friday with Fillmore District Council Member Mitch Nowakowski behind the mahogany, a tray of complementary pierogi, and adorable adoptable dogs from the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter. Doors open at 6 pm!

Good Friday Good Dogs Happy Hour
Skip the fish fry and join us at Eugene V. Debs Hall for a special "Good Friday Good Dogs" happy hour featuring adoptable dogs from the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter! Grab a drink, meet fellow animal lovers, and spend time with adorable pups looking for their forever homes.
Join us on Good Friday (April 18th) from 6:00-8:00 PM for this special event. After all, meeting dogs is better with drinks, and drinks are better with dogs!
This is a perfect opportunity to meet potential four-legged family members in a relaxed, social setting. Come celebrate the holiday weekend while getting to know these wonderful adoptable dogs and the people who care for them.

Brewers' Union No. 4
Ethan Cox hosts Brewers' Union No. 4, his monthly bartending night every first Monday of the month at Eugene V. Debs Hall. This April 7, Ethan will unveil the latest from Brewery Ardennes, and his complementary roasted cauliflower soup. Bring interesting beer for others to sample! At 8 pm we'll raise a glass to our departed friend Greg Olma, who was a Brewers' Union No. 4 regular.
Native Tree Planting
Thanks to our generous members, Eugene V. Debs Hall has placed an order for 10 native trees to be planted in the future Frank X. Schwab Square. Bring a shovel and spade, and help us plant them! The planting will be followed up with complementary local craft beer and Alibaba kebabs.

Shamrocks & Snouts Happy Hour
Together with the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter, we present our "Shamrocks & Snouts Happy Hour" on Wednesday, March 13th from 6-8PM at Eugene V. Debs Hall (483 Peckham St).
Join us for a casual evening to meet our pawsitively charming adoptable pups! This St. Patrick's Day celebration is sure to be the most fetching event of the season. Our four-legged friends are ready to show off their Irish spirit while you enjoy the company of potential new companions.

Fight Fascism Friday
Brandon Absher is back for his second installation of the monthly Fight Fascism Friday at Eugene V. Debs Hall this February 28, 6 pm.
As part of this installation, Brandon has invited a speaker from the New York Immigration Coalition to address the topic of "The Struggle for Immigrant Rights in WNY." The talk will begin at 7 pm promptly with discussion to follow.

Join us for a heartwarming "Sweet as Candy" Happy Hour this Valentine's season! On Monday, February 17th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, we're once again partnering with the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter to play matchmaker between loving dogs and potential forever homes.

Come meet some adorable adoptable dogs who are ready to shower you with unlimited kisses and cuddles. Film Night: Soviet Bus Stops (2024)
Our monthly Film Nights are making a return! Please join us on Tuesday, December 10, as we screen Soviet Bus Stops (2024), a fascinating documentary described thusly:
"Canadian photographer Christopher Herwig travels former Soviet Republics from Ukraine to Uzbekistan, Armenia to Far Eastern Siberia, and all points in between, in a decades-long bus stop treasure hunt across more than 50,000 kilometres. Uncovering the stories of the designers who built fascinating architectural marvels during the Soviet regime, Soviet Bus Stops is an ode to the power of individual creativity that would not be suppressed."
We open up on December 10 at 6 pm, with the film showing at 7 pm. A suggested $10 donation will help cover the screening fee. We invite you to order Alibaba takeout, which you're welcome to bring to Debs!

Vets & Pets
Join us on Veterans Day for Vets & Pets, a special event celebrating our veterans and supporting local pets in need! Hosted by the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter and Eugene V. Debs Hall, this event runs from 6-8pm, with all bar tips benefiting the WNY Veterans Housing Coalition. Come meet some of the shelter’s adoptable dogs and learn more about how you can help both our veteran community and the pets who need loving homes. Don’t miss this heartwarming evening of good drinks, great company, and meaningful support!

Paws & Polls
Together with the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter, we will be hosting ‘Paws & Polls’ this Election Day at Eugene V. Debs Hall! We know elections can be stressful so come on down for some puppy therapy with adoptable dogs from the City Animal Shelter. Doors open at 6pm with the dogs here until 8pm! We’ll begin watching election returns at 8pm until late.
